Laptop Deals Coupons
How do you find laptop deals, coupons – or other discounts? Is it possible to get good deals on notebooks? You bet it is. It just takes a little work.
First, watch out of “free laptops.” If you do a search online you’re probably going to find a lot of “free laptop” offers. These offers may be legitimate, but they’re often hard to qualify for and don’t end up being “Free” at all.
This is how those deals work – the sites that refer you have you enter your email address, and sometimes more personal information. You’re then presented with several “offers” to choose from. For a big “gift” like a laptop, you’ll probably need to do two or three levels of “offers.” These are generally trial offers for other companies, like Netflix, or diet supplement companies. The trials may or may not cost money. You can get your computer doing these offers, but watch out. You must make sure you cancel the trial before the trial period ends or you’ll be charged. Sometimes these charges are fifty dollars or more – per month!
So these “free laptop” deals may seem like a great idea at first, but in the end they can end up being a pain, or even an expense.
A better way to find laptop deals, coupons, and other incentives is to check with the manufacturer. Computer companies are constantly offering promotions and they’ll be happy to tell you about them, right there on their own website. You can also find coupon codes through third party sites. These codes are often for the same promotions you’ll find listed on the company’s site. The “coupon” site just wants you to click through their coupon link so they can make a commission when you buy a computer. This is OK, though. If you want to use one of these coupon codes, go ahead because it will NOT raise your final price to go through their coupon links.
There are also stores that can offer you very good laptop deals, coupons, rebates, etc. Watch sites like Newegg and Amazon for periodic specials. Best Buy often runs specials or bundles where you can get a laptop and desktop, or a laptop and printer, for rock bottom prices. There are also sites like Lifehacker that keep track of deals on computer equipment. They periodically put up posts highlighting good computer and electronic deals.
Another good way to look for laptop deals coupons is to watch sites like Woot! Woot a great deal every day. It’s not always computer equipment, but when they do offer a laptop, it’s often for hundreds of dollars less than retail. Keep an eye on Woot if you’re in the market for a new laptop.
Remember when you’re looking for good deals, the first place to look is at the computer company websites. They often offer great prices and run specials regularly, especially around back to school time.
